Overall I though the Academy Awards this year were a bit of a snore. We don’t get much for red carpet coverage since we are an Apple TV household. So I missed the E! Network pre show, which is usually quite fun! I have loved the ‘mani- cam’ and 360 degree dress coverage. But instead I was out on a walk with Mo that turned into a stop at the local winery- whoops! When the baby is napping and you are a bit overheated from a brisker walk than anticipated a lovely kale salad and glass of rose certainly does the trick! Continue reading “she wins”
These round ups of ‘five things’ were such a great invention of mine that I am disappointed I forgot all about them, but not to fret. We are back, today I will be highlighting the five things that have me ooohing & aaaaahing lately. This time around the theme is ‘beauty based’.
Full disclosure: I am not a beauty person whatsoever. I enjoy looking put together but rarely do. This is not a ’cause I am a mom’ thing. It is just a part of my life that I have accepted. I wear minimal makeup both by choice and yes, by default (I am clueless when it comes to application & products). So the list below encompasses things that take little effort on my part. The biggest sacrifice being the amount of time I put in #3 but that guy lasts a good time so the time spent is worth it. Continue reading “five things for la madre”

Hope you had a relaxing weekend. I got a nap today so even after a busy Saturday and a full week ahead I find myself sitting here assembling a blog post when I should be in bed.
But, since it has been too long since I pulled together a round up of five things, today is the day. So here we are with the five things that we are getting our mileage out of these days from the perspective of me: a madre who doesn’t like too much fuss when it comes to baby stuff. Continue reading “five things for a 1 year old”
A guest post today from Emi in Brooklyn that has me rethinking (and yes, scheduling) professional photos for Mike, Mario and me. Continue reading “family fotos”
Our dog Baron has been with us for five years. He is a shelter dog that we adopted when he was two. He is a really handsome and elegant looking dog but he has your typical shelter dog temperament: skittish, quiet, uncomfortable around strangers but really sweet and dedicated friend to his owners.
He has gotten much better over the five years. Gaining confidence and personality. We were quite curious how the introduction of Mario would affect Baron’s personality. Would he love him, or hate him, or just not even give a shit. The first nine months Baron ignored the baby. Continue reading “brothers”
