That Asos Dress

A few weeks back I wrote about my love for ASOS and of course their maternity wear (here). I now have some photos to share- unsolicited, but who cares! I just got the link to my sister in law’s wedding photos where my mirror floral dress made its debut. The professional photo does not do a great job of showing the bump, which could be a plus or a minus to the dress or just the situation at 21 weeks. I did provide the instagram below it to show the dress from another angle.

Asos Floral Maternity dress

I loved the dress, the material and fit were perfect, I think I could even give it a few more wears now at 32 weeks and maybe I will wear it to one of my showers this weekend. Might have to give it a test run in front of the mirror this week! I accessorized the dress with my wedding shoes- Sam Edelman Summer 2013 and a sunburst pendant necklace from House of Harlow also Summer 2013. I should note that my +1 was in his sister’s wedding so the vest was part of the Oregon Farm Couture theme- which was executed perfectly at this wedding- check out #joycepartyofthree to see the whole event!

We have another family wedding coming up November 22nd in Chicago and I think I will go the route of non maternity for this dress, I have a couple dresses in my closet that have yet to see the flash of family wedding photo bulbs and should still be able to fit in just under two weeks. They are both shift dresses, I have noticed that thus far shifts in flexible and forgiving fabrics can support a baby belly just fine no matter your weeks.

Would love to hear about any other favorite ASOS maternity finds and solutions for dressing for formal events while expecting!
